Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm here to leave a quick review!!
Anyway let's get right to it,
It was the summer of love
It was the season of hate
It was the spell of growing
It was the suspicion of fate
It was the beginning of hope
It was the bellow of laughter
It was the basket of the precious moments
That we are after
It was the flowing of tears
It was the fatality of mourning
It was the inflammation of dread as the
School year nears
It was the summer of magic
It was the season of reality
It was the spell of maturing
It was the suspicion of fantasy
But most of all
It was the summer of friends
And of the line of treasured memories
That never ends
Okay...this is a very intriguing one there. I don't believe I've seen something quite like this before. Its very rare that you see something that's very classifiable as a poem being used as a prologue to a novel, but I think this particular one manages to work really quite well here, and I love the direction it appears to be headed in.
Moving past that into the actual words that we've got here. I love the direction this has gone in, in terms of that simple pattern that's repeating somewhat mysterious promises about what's to come in this story. This almost functions as more of a blurb here for the story with the way that its structured, and I'm loving that.
I think you've painted a good mixture of foreboding coupled with mystery and it all comes together to form a pretty solid prologue here. I find myself quite curious to read the story here. I think you've managed to a pretty successful job here on the prologue and with a bit of editing this could also be an excellent blurb I'd say. Its a little different but in a very good way.
Aaaaand that's it for this one.
As always remember to take what you think was helpful and forget the rest.
Stay Safe
